Clean Dishwasher?

Today I thought would be a good day to clean my dishwasher. So I looked for my pin about cleaning my dishwasher with lemonade Kool-Aid, and gave it a try. Here is the link: http://www.realsimple.com/home-organizing/new-uses-for-old-things/lemonade-kool-aid-10000001575551/index.html
I emptied out the dishwasher, put the lemonade Kool-Aid in the dispenser, and started 'er up. I didn't think my dishwasher was all that bad, so I was expecting to see a brand, spankin' new dishwasher when I opened it back up. Here are before and after pictures:

Is it just me? Or does it look pretty much the same?
So...I would say this super cool, super easy way to clean a dishwasher failed for me. :-(
I guess I'll have to try something else.
